name = tn
Last Updated: โ fiaKaiera 2018/01/19 18:40
The most important part of a Typyl is to be given a Typyl a name to be called as so they know which individual is being called.
This part of the guide covers three sections: Glyph Set Name, Given Name & Surname, and their Furrial Display Class.
Glyph Set Name
name = tngsn
Code in Template:name-glyph
The Glyph Set Name is their full name displayed in Figlyphs. The glyph set name is different from the Given Name and Surname mainly because the Glyph Set Name is actually entered in differently compared to both Given Name is Surname.
For those using the Google Docs template, you do not have to enter this in as it is not inside the template.
Creating the Glyph Set Name
To create an individual's glyph set name, one must know the rules for writing in Figlyphs, in terms of both the wiki and its rules.
Typying Figlyphs Inside the Wiki
Consistently typing in Figlyphs only works when editing a page in the wiki. A playground page is available when it's needed to test out in Figlyphs.
To type Figlyphs inside the wiki, you must start the text with -::
and end with ::-
.
- Example: Typing
-::Hello World!::-
will result in Hello World!.
Figlyphs contains stacked letters as well, to create combinations of them, all you have to do is to encase two lower-case letters between [
and ]
.
โป Stacks will only work with consonant + vowel and vowel + vowel combinations.
- Example: Typing
-::[he]l[lo] [wo]rld!::-
will result in l rld!.
Typying Figlyphs Ouside the Wiki
To have Figlyphs outside, you must download the font provided below, use said font in the text editor and know the corresponding characters to type the glyphs themselves or copy and paste the result from the wiki to your text editor.
โป In Unicode, all of the glyphs are placed in the Private Use Areas (PUA) code point range.
