====== 🔰 Typyl: Name ======
{{t>t:typyl guide nav|name = top}}
> **Last Updated:** --- //[[user:fiakaiera]] 2018/02/08 13:03//
The most important part of a [[species:typyl|Typyl]] is to be given a Typyl a name to be called as so they know which individual is being called.
| |
This part of the guide covers three sections: **Glyph Set Name**, **Given Name & Surname**, and their **Furrial Display Class**.
| |
===== Glyph Set Name =====
{{t>t:typyl guide nav|name = glyph}}
> **Code in Template:** ''name-glyph''
The **Glyph Set Name** is their full name displayed in [[culture:Figlyphs]]. The glyph set name is different from the Given Name and Surname mainly because the Glyph Set Name is actually entered in differently compared to both Given Name is Surname.
| |
<span info><fs 0.9em>//For those using the Google Docs template, you do not have to enter this in as it is not inside the template.//</fs></span>
| |
To create an individual's glyph set name, one must know the rules for writing in Figlyphs, in terms of both the wiki and its rules. Check [[guide:figlyphs_typing#Typying Figlyphs Inside the Wiki|Typying Figlyphs Inside the Wiki]] to know how.
| |
<div clear></div> | |
===== Forename & Surname =====
{{t>t:typyl guide nav|name = name}}
> **Code in Template:** ''name-full'', ''name-first'' and ''name-last''
| |
A furrial's **Forename** ([[wp>first name|first name]]) and **Surname** ([[wp>last name|last name]]) is used to identify a specific furrial. The **personal name** ([[wp>full name|full name]]) of a furrial contains both forename and surname next to each other and can be interchanged, depending on culture.
| |
For some individuals, they may not have a surname and is considered [[wp>Mononymous person|mononymous]].<br>
<span info>In their profiles, you will see their surname displayed as ''---''. (or ''<nowiki>---</nowiki>'' when editing)</span>
| |
<div box thick> | |
==== Rules: Names ==== | |
- Names are not longer than 12 characters per word (a stacked vowel in Figlyphs is considered one letter)
- When a name has diacritics (á, ï, ô, etc.), you would have to type the representative letter stack in Figlyphs
* **Example:** French e is (e) or (ee), è/ê is (ee), é is (ei)
- No numerals or pictograms
- No ridiculous or shameful names
- No profanity | |
<div tip> | |
**Tip:** Remember, names in Furria are pronounced differently in Figlyphs.
| |
<fs 0.8em>**Vowels are pronounced exactly in Japanese and is modified on stacked vowels.** You can maintain their normal name, but in Figlyphs we recommend you type the way it is intended to be pronounced.</fs>
</div> | |
</div> | |
| |
<div clear></div> | |
===== Furrial Display Class =====
{{t>t:typyl guide nav|name = class}}
> **Code in Template:** ''disp-class''
| |
The **Furrial Display Class** refers to a Typyl individual using a combination of two [[culture:furrial class|furrial classes]] they have learned before up for display. Even though an individual can learn multiple furrial classes, they can only use at most two for display to not overwhelm fellow individuals.
| |
<div alert><fs 0.9em>//**Since the list of classes does not exist yet, we recommend placing in the class [[class:Furrial]] for now.**<br>**Furrial** is the starting class every furrian individual(furrial) and shows the Typyl is capable of learning Furrial Classes.//</fs></div>
| |
<div box thick> | |
**The furrial class is displayed as such:** ''{class1} {class2}''<br>
Both classes can be freely switched with any class of their choice at any time.
</div> | |
| |
For non-typyl creatures, they are required to have the class [[class:typis|Typis]] always present in their display class.
