Currently, there are 30 roles available for use.
Main Battle Roles
Role | Purpose |
---|---|
Adaptable (or Fluid) | Fulfills any role in combat only when in need. |
DPS / Damager (Damage Per Second) | Deals the most damage in the group. |
Navigator | The only role outside of combat who helps the party navigate and warn ahead of their surroundings. Could also be support. |
Non-combat | Fulfills no role in combat. Most of the time escorted. |
Support (or Healer) | Provides healing and support for the party. |
Tank | Takes priority in the frontlines, taking most of the damage and attention away from others. Usually very defensive to make up for less damage. |
Secondary Battle Roles
Tank Role | Purpose |
---|---|
Absorber (Magic Tank) | A variation of the Tank where they take mostly Magical damage instead of Physical. |
Defender (Physical Tank) | A Tank or Tank-DPS combo that provides exceptional protection against physical attacks. However it leaves them very vulnerable to magic damage. |
Mitigation (or Mitigate Tank) | A support or tank-support combo where they decrease damage taken to themselves. As a tank, they typically have lower health than most tanks. |
Parry Tank (or Avoidance Tank) | Tank variation where they avoid and parry attacks instead of taking and absorbing damage. They would have less health than a usual tank to concentrate on avoiding damage. |
DPS Role | Purpose |
---|---|
Bruiser (Melee DPS) | Melee-centric DPS. |
Crowd Control | A DPS-support mixture where they manage swarms of foes and keep them under control. |
DOT (Damage Over Time) | A spellcaster variation where they concentrate on passively dealing damage over time. |
Exploiter | A DPS role where they exploit weak spots to their advantage. Usually paired with stealth, yet easy to take out. Doesn't deal much damage until they exploit weak spots. |
Glacier (Heavy DPS) | A slow yet extremely powerful DPS. This is traded by their defense, therefore it is easier to take them out. |
Ranger (Ranged DPS) | Range-centric DPS. |
Spellcaster (Magic DPS) | Magic-centric DPS. |
Support Role | Purpose |
---|---|
Cure Support | An off-role that mainly removes status effects than actual support. |
Field Medic | Support role that quickly and/or temporarily supports allies that requires immediate action. When not supporting, they tend to help the DPS. |
Prevention (Pre-emptive Healer) | Focuses on preventing any damage or effect on allies via additional healing, shielding or through wards. |
Regen | Support-specific class where they majorly contribute to health and/or energy regeneration in battle. |
Status Support | Sacrificing actual support, this off-role presents the option to weakening foes than supporting the party. |
Stealth | A backline support role that assists in taking out or sabotaging operations. |
Navigator Role | Purpose |
---|---|
Carpet | A frontline active role whose purpose is to mitigate a massive amount of enemies while actively scouting the field. |
Recon | A more active frontline navigator role, visually detailing areas ahead of time. |
Support Nav | A more supportive role, helping out in the field via supportive abilities and using the current state of the field to their advantages while being far away. Does have lesser reliability as an actual navigator. |
Battle Nav | A more battle-active role where they manipulate the field to their allies' advantages in exchange of having less reliability as an actual navigator. Most of the time also sacrificing their their support abilities. |
Other Roles | Purpose |
---|---|
Backline | Adaptable, but mostly extending support outside of conflict. |
Frontline | Adaptable except actively participating in the front. |
Jack-of-all-trades | Similar to adaptable, but always in two or more roles than one. They don't have mastery of all roles, however. |
Summoner | A more unique role where they manage troops than actively participate in battle. Usually those who have the ability to control and summon has this role. |
