After being inspired by Professor Helene Delacroix, Jokull left his hometown Snowpoint City and studied with her here at Lumiose University. After the previous professor died, he was determined to follow in her footsteps. Jokull is quite cold and harsh, but has a curious heart. He loves to learn and loves to see students learn, too. He is compassionate and always tries to help his students out.

During his stay in Lumiose University, he was teaching inorganic chemistry. He also has a different preferred moveset: Ice Beam, Curse, Barrier and Shadow Ball.
