[Guide] Typyl Rules
— Last Updated: fiaKaiera 2017/05/22 05:34
— Revision: 4
When creating a character for Furria, for it to be official, the character must adhere to the rules set in place in order to be properly considered as an official character viable for Furria. However, these rules can be bent or bypassed altogether depending on who creates the character.
The character must be a Typyl should they chose to make one. Characters made outside the Typyl species will be up for debate. All typyl inside the wiki that is considered official has a corresponding “Approved Entry” tag on their pages.
All of the considerations, its reasons and possible ways to bypass them are listed down below.
Tip: We suggest you to not read all of the sections in one reading. Only read them when it is needed. This is to not overwhelm you on how much rules are set in place.

Role
Rule | Reason | Workaround |
---|---|---|
• Must be Typyl. | “Sultana's Decree!” | If one should want a character outside of being a Typyl, a debate will be held if the character will be approved, which could take a longer process since other species are not as open as the Typyl. |
• Cannot be the head/right-hand of an establishment. (King/Queen/Prince/Princess/Mayor/Vice/Principal/Dean) | Unless you are the creator or founder of the town, this is too high of a privelage to assign for a created character in Furria. | They could be any of the tertiary roles unless it is already taken, but still have to be considered for approval by the creator of said establishment. |
• Cannot be of divine status. (God/Spirit/Symbol/invulnerable being) | Three reasons: there are no gods in Furria; and to prevent the possibility to be workshipped; and having a power that only divine beings can obtain. | |
• Cannot be the Furrian Guild Master/Leader. | The role is already taken by Kaiera L'Heart and it could be too high of a role to be the lead that manages most of the economy and daily lives of the world. | Head of a Sub-guild or Team |
• Cannot be a Sav/Presav | All of them are predefined and set and you are not allowed to add more of the Sav or Presav. | |
• Cannot be popular that everyone knows. | Reality check: not everyone in Earth knows one specific celebrity. | Regional celebrity. |
• Cannot be Starborn-type. | Despite Bukoya-Star allowing Starborns be an open species, they are not allowed to transition into Furria due to their overpowered nature. | Remove the character from starborn privelages. |
Character
Rule | Reason | Workaround |
---|---|---|
• Cannot be perfect in any way. | The idea of humanity: not everyone is perfect. |
Physical Body
Rule | Reason | Workaround |
---|---|---|
Average Height • 4'12“ or 152.4 cm | Typyl average height is that of 75% of average human height. | |
Maximum Height • 6 ft or 182.8 cm | A limit of Typyl anatomy. | If the character is a Giraffe-type, it can go to 7 ft / 213.3 cm. |
Maximum Weight • 80 kg or 176.37 lbs |
||
• Must stand upright. It cannot be feral. | Typyl does not stand on all four legs. | |
• Must have a physical sex. | Typyl cannot have no sexual organs. That will be weird. | Do not mistake physical sex for gender identity. |
• Must have a Typ-type assigned. | Typyl cannot have no typing/type family. | |
• Must have a Typ-fam assigned. | ||
• Must adhere to Typyl Composition. | Typyl anatomy. A Typyl can't have 6+ digits or a leg style outside those dictated. | |
• Must only have 2 legs and arms. • Can be dismembered if necessary. • Cannot have legs if the character is a Tethl. | Typyl anatomy. Typyl can only have a pair of legs and arms. However, characters with Tethl leg composition does not have legs. | Use Robotics or Augmentals. |
• Can have 2+ typ-types. | Hy-types are a thing. (Having 4 or more types is overkill, don't you think?) | |
• Cannot have 2+ mouths. | A limit of Typyl anatomy. | |
• Cannot have 2+ heads. | ||
• Cannot have breasts/mammary glands. | Not allowed or does not exist in Typyl anatomy. | Bust or neck fluff. |
• Cannot have belly buttons/navels. | ||
• Cannot have floating parts. | Either use Sorcia or Augmentals to hide what's linking them in the first place. | |
• Cannot live for more than 150 years. | A Typyl can only live until 150 years and 120 years average. |
Type Specific
Rule | Reason | Workaround |
---|---|---|
For Avid-fam/Winged Types • Can choose not to have wings on their arms and remain wingless. • Cannot have wings on their back. | Typyl doesn't require every part of whatever they inherit to be there. However, Typyl anatomy doesn't allow wings on their backs either. | Use Robotics or Augmentals for back wings. |
For Aqua-fam/Underwater Types • Can have gills and still breathe outside of water. • Cannot have gills only, having no lungs. | Aqua-fam Typyl posess both gills and lungs and only needs one of them to breathe. Typyl without gills still needs sorcia in order to breathe underwater. |
Design
Rule | Reason | Workaround |
---|---|---|
• Can wear clothing of the opposite gender. | Typyl culture is a lot more free-formed in terms of clothing and what you can wear. | |
• Can optionally wear clothing. | ||
• Can change the character's typing at anytime.* | Typyl has high-level Sorcia that allows them to change their design. See Type-casting for more details. * However, only very few know of this sorcia. They can go to establishments with *CAST services if the character wants to do type-casting. |
|
• Can immediately change their clothing on will.* | Typyl has sorcia to add/remove/swap clothing without taking them off through accessing their arcitory. * As long as said clothing is accessible in magic storage. |
|
• Cannot show intimate parts in public. | Even if a character can choose not to wear clothing, showing intimate parts still counts as either rude or embarrassing. | |
• Cannot have their inner color outside of “Natural Red” or their eye color. | Typyl can only have their inner color as either “Natural”, (blood red) or “Matching”. (eye color) | If your character has Iris Heterochromia, they could use either eye color. |
• Cannot have rainbow gradients for pigment. | Typyl anatomy doesn't allow rainbow gradients as a pigment. | A gradient of 3 different colors is allowed. |
• Cannot have predefined unnatural patterns on their fur. | To preserve the natural design for Typyl, this is not allowed. | Simple unnatural patterns is fine, as long as its minimal and not obvious. |
• Cannot have complex patterns on their fur. | This rule is set in place for designers and artists who already have a hard time drawing them and have an easier time drawing them. | Spots is fine, especially Jaguars, Leopards and similar species. |
• Cannot glow naturally, either partially or fully. | Not allowed or does not exist in Typyl anatomy. | Use Neon colors or have a condition where the Typyl glows through excess force through unintentional Sorcia when reacting. |
