Not much is known about Laguna to most, as he never stays in one place for too long. He travels the 13 continents, helping out ordinary people and imparting his knowledge to anyone who would listen.
Laguna is a very mysterious typyl. He takes his tasks at the Furria Guild very seriously, acting quite aloof whenever he has to deal with others a lot of the time. However, this comes from his somewhat poor social skills rather than a dislike of them, as Laguna did not have many friends for most of his life and doesn’t really know how to socialize very well. However, he is not afraid to help and protect others and is quite noble when it really counts. If someone were to become friends with Laguna, he would seem like quite a different person than a stranger: he can be mischievous and a trickster, but will also never betray them, no matter what.
However, he seems to mistrust nobility and people with too much power and has sometimes refused to work with them if a guild task involves helping said people, acting quite irrationally and with disdain for nobles in general. When pressed about it, he would say that most nobles are bad people and are only out to help themselves rather than the people around them. He won’t cause harm to any nobles on purpose, however.
Laguna hates talking about his past and tries to keep it a secret as much as possible. He comes from a small, secluded kingdom in Uphaval. He was born into a regular family and lived his early years playing with other children on the streets. However, his parents mysteriously went missing one day when he was very young.
Thankfully, Laguna was adopted into a high noble’s house and was taught everything about being nobility as he grew up with them. Additionally, the nobles would discover Laguna’s aptitude for magical arts, and they would help him hone these skills as well. He would listen to these teachings and live happily inside the manor, however, he would sometimes complain about how lonely he was, as he was no longer allowed to interact with anyone out on the streets as he had before he was adopted.
One day after Laguna had come of age, he happened to come across a mysterious figure in the manor and gave chase, finding out that said figure was trying to harm his adoptive parents, just narrowly managing to chase them off moments before they would attack. Wondering who would do something like this to his family, Laguna would start digging around for clues, despite his parents’ protest.
He would quickly find out why that was: the noble family he was adopted into had been engaged in many corrupt acts this whole time, and the attack on his house was only because of another member of nobility that was taking revenge.
Laguna discovered many abhorrent schemes performed by his family and other noble houses and was disgusted by what he found, to the point where he felt that he couldn’t stand even associating with nobility anymore. To this, he decided to set off on a journey to perhaps find a way to solve the situation that his kingdom had been caught up in, taking only a single family heirloom: an old, Nox-aspected staff, which he would practice Sorcia with as a child when no one was looking.
Is a skilled healer and alchemist, able to treat various inflictions using Sorcia or different kinds of potions. He can also create various poisons to use while in combat.
Knows the landscape of all 13 continents, able to cross and explore almost anywhere.
Able to use many kinds of Sorcia, especially when using his staff.
