Irène is a Bayleef who has just evolved and started teaching in Kalos Miare. Though born in a peaceful town in Kanto, her parents are French, thus the name.

Irène favours different languages to study during her college life and unwittingly applied for Kalos Miare to teach. What she does not know is that she is really proficient at it.

During in and out of class, she is a very nice ‘mon, but she is usually very shy, flustered, and easily frightened, which makes it rather difficult for her to discipline students and has a hard time enforcing rules on her own.

    * Her hair is derived from Izumi as well.
