They live in Patiencia as the roommate to the local weather typyl, Tenki. Their natures tend to mesh well together as volatile spirits that prefer to adapt to what’s ahead of them. A few days out of the week, Skai is an owner and operator of Silibosen, a sorcia research place located in Auril, alongside Laplace Volaren and Nebka Juxtav. Whenever the trio needs to travel to gather materials for the lab, Skai is the one that enjoys leading the party most of all. Whether it’s an expedition, a puzzle, or absolutely nothing at all, Skai always tries to find something to do. ==== Personality ==== Skai tends to live day-to-day life in the moment, and they see everywhere as a place to explore. They present themself somewhat humbly, though they have a larger sense of pride than they let on. Around unfamiliar people, Skai tends to be very quiet and reserved. With a little persistence and a few acts of kindness, however, they will gradually open up enough to make a new friend. Good friends of Skai will see a very different side of them. Skai will show a brighter and much more lively demeanor. Even when they don't have anything to talk about, they are very content in simply vibing in the presence of their friends. A rambunctious spirit and a need to cause mischief are not unknown to Skai, though they tend to reserve this energy for friends with a tolerance of or a similar propensity for mischief. When they don't have any immediate plans for a day, they tend to tag along with the first friend or good acquaintance they recognize. This behavior is driven by both a strong sense of altruism, and by the excitement of having a unique experience. ==== History ==== === Before Furria === Prior to antecedence, Skai was an undergraduate finishing up their last year under a computer science program. They personally feel that their presence on Fiagia was one made in error - though one they were willing to capitalize on after their extended mull within the classroom. ===== Skills ===== Whether they’re aware of it or not, Skai seemingly enjoys irregular and unintuitive approaches to problems. This is particularly evident in the ways they approach combat. === Sorciastrike Stance === This is Skai’s favored stance in combat. This stance modifies nearly all of Skai’s offensive spells. Area-of-effect sorcia that do not center at a targetable point (e.g. Flamethrower, but not Fireball) are disabled. The remaining spells have their range reduced to ''[touch]'' along with a new condition: a successful attack with a weapon is required for the spell’s effect to go off. Affected spells often have significantly reduced cast-time, and can cost fewer FP than their normal version. Skai tends towards a rushdown style while in this stance. This works best in 1-on-1 scenarios where Skai is receiving support from the back. Skai’s multitarget and ranged options are greatly restricted in this stance, forcing them to go into melee range to get the most use out of it. The multitarget options Skai does have, however, are also risky: there’s no way for them to escape their own sorcia’s blast radius. This stance is characterized by the aspects :amplius::autumo:, representing the in-the-moment //addition// of //magic// to one's equipment. === BWAA === The Better Wand Augmented Armament (stylized as BWAA, though Bwaa works too) is Skai’s personal weapon. It is a :autumo: :vis: :vario: sword-wand hybrid that allows for any arbitrary wand to be slotted into the base of the blade, altering the Bwaa’s appearance to match the wand’s palette. Inserting a wand somewhat improves the efficiency of using sorciastrike, but more importantly, it frees up a hand for Skai.
